That's what I meant by dream-like stupor and this CEO is definitely in one. How do you stop him from continuing to play with other people's money such as he is doing with Corel Computer Corporation? How do you get him to focus on the core company assets like the graphics products? How do you get him to wake up to the fact that their marketing and development process are abject failures?

Corel could have, and still could, focus on developing Java Beans for both office productivity and graphics professionals. First and foremost should be a collaborative diagramming tool to extend IBM's eSuite due out next quarter. The only way to get there from here is to fire the technologically inept leadership and bring in network-ware, object-aware, software-process-aware expertise from the outside. This guy has squandered away one too many precious opportunities and now they have also lost their position of strength from which to capitalize on opportunity. He should be put in jail, IMO, but that's not likely to happen since an insanity plea would be a slam-dunk defense.

Even if Cowpie gets removed, is there any pulse in the road kill--enough that some corporate doctor could bring it back to life?

If you look at their market cap you can see that it won't take much to boost this stock and possibly double it instantaneously if Cowpie resigns. Jettisoning the NC and OLAP futility will also have a key role in boosting their fortunes. Being worth several times your current market value isn't going to help you while you have the same dictator and his crew of stooges making the same bad moves. Somebody needs to make some bold moves to snap them out of their denial. I am confident there will be an abrupt change for the better but not as long as the head stooge continues to run the company like a make-believe circus.
