"...how can anyone take these guys seriously?" Sensible, thinking people don't. I think the biggest source of frustration for "these guys" is that they have an unknown size graphite resource spread over a wide area that is going to require a lot of excavation to recover in any kind of marketable amount. Factor in that they don't know if it's properties are consistent throughout and you can begin to see why they are worried. The trade didn't work out as expected and they are trapped holding stock for a lot longer than they had planned.
