Bill,

I just noticed your post, minutes earlier than mine, where you predicted 9600. I declare I was not trying to fade you guess. It seems we just think the same for the higher range. I was going to say 9600 but I didn't want to be too optimistic. Actually, 4200 wouldn't be the end of the world, it would just seem like it for a couple of days. I would be buying everything in sight.

Do I see a bear?
I agree with you except for the 9600. I don't think we'll make it back to the old highs (8254 was it?). I also think it will take longer to get to the 4000-5000 range. As a rough rule, 1/3 of the decline in a bear market occurs in the first 2/3 of its duration, and
the last 2/3 of the decline occurs in the last 1/3 of the duration of the bear market. I expect that the market won't drop more than 3000-4000 points, but it will be longer than one year.
