Isn't this the best time to buy MSFT?

I think the best time to buy msft is long past.

I wouldn't buy msft now for the following reasons.

DOJ - Not just this case but any future cases.

The states possible anti-trust case or cases.

Java-Does java threaten the proprietary advantage that windows has?

I thought there was a couple more but I can't think of them now.
It's hard to judge what the outcome of these will be but (IMO) there are too many risks involved to pay the current premium for msft.

Right now the media seems to be focusing on the doj. Possibly the biggest threat of the items listed above is java. From what I understand of java, once enough applications are developed (assuming it will be popular enough) people will not have to run windows to run the latest and greatest software. My knowledge on java and the sun suit is limited so if this is incorrect, please let me know.

Another GOOD news for MSFT. Best buy has a $1600 computer system with
P-II 233mhz, 17"monitor, 4.3GB HDD, 32mb ram, 24x CD-ROM, 56k modem,
...

It's almost as good as being a government collecting TAX.
