Cymer's float and outstanding shares and subordinated notes:

As of 11/13/97
Outstanding shares: 28,573,000

(1) IPO 9/18/96:
proceed raised: 29.7 millions
shares offered: 3,509,000
offering price: approx. $8.5
price closed that day: $13.625

(2) Secondary stock offerings 12/12/96:
proceed raised: 50 millions
shares offered: 1,270,000
offering price: approx. $39.5
price closed that day: $43.125

(3) Subordinated convertible notes offering 8/6/97:
proceed raised : $172,500,000
conversion price: $47 per share
additional common stock shares if converted: 3,670,212
due date: 8/6/2004
can convert to common share after: 11/5/97
note callable after: 8/9/2000

(4) Stock split: 2-1 on 8/7/97

If you added the total shares offered to public (1) + (2) + (3) adjusted for 2-1 split:
Total floats should be: 16,898,424

But no one will convert unless stock price > $47
so without insider sale, the float should be: 9,558,000

www.marketguide.com has a float of 24.90 millions
I don't know where the extra 14 millions come from???

Any comment as to how float is computed for Cymer?
