Gold is acting like a currency and silver is not.
Big money looking to store value and gold is better at doing that.

Silver should catch up at some point and the metal may be one of the better plays at this point.
Owning both should work well but owning just silver miners looking for leverage seems iffy.

There looks to be evidence that silver has been capped for a very long time.
At some point the lid probably blows off and the ones doing the capping will run it higher as they have been accumulating.

If the gold/silver ratio were to return to its historical norm of 16 (currently ~80), then silver would have outperformed gold by 5:1.
