Will we go into the convention with a three man race? Or will Cruz and Rubio make a deal to combine forces? I think that will happen as it will be the logical way forward. I concur your take on Rubio: giving him a pass on that, under the assumption he learned his lesson and will follow the "build the wall" model. They also see him as better looking and able to articulate conservative optimism I voted for Romney despite knowing he wasn't really very conservative. Ditto McCain. I feel better more conservative with Rubio than I did either of those two.
