I've missed a share of posts for a few days, although did go to the library and skimmed....Looks like I missed some of the name calling for which I'm glad. Wanting anyone but any Democrat might make me wishy washy....but if that's the case, so be it. IF for NO other reason, the recent death of SC Justice Scalia should make a HUGE imprint on everyone here to try their very hardest to see that NO Democrat gets into the Presidency! And wherever possible, we need to try to hopefully, add to the number of R Senators and House Reps and make those they have now, even fewer. It is VITAL this happens.. (Dang....just got a new super dooper laptop computer, and just touched something that just erased what I had written....Wish there was a recall button for "where in the heck did that go"...???) Anyway, I like Rubio, and will support any of the R's that are left....I truly fear for our country if ANY of the current nest of viper Leftists are our next President. We must also add to both the House and Senate, and at the very least, at least maintain current seats.... I pray that the faith and confidence that honey_bee, and his other ardent supporter, are placing in him do indeed turn out to be justified, because the idea of a Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders presidency is abhorrent beyond words.

Thank you for proving that what I said is 100% accurate. You might try walking in Mulholland's (and my) shoes for a a few steps before declaring what is or is not a "personal attack." She was demeaned and "attacked" for her posts here and you can write six more full page diatribes about how awful I am for saying so, and your fan-club will give you the usual 13+ recs - be my guest. Oh and have a nice day - it's clear opposing views are not welcome on this "conservative" thread.

Even the PfC poster who placed Mulholland Drive on ignore did not attack her personally. He simply stated that her gloating after Trump’s win last night was undignified. We have all done undignified things during our lives. My list would fill a small book, and I wish I could take each and every one of them back … past, present and future. TRUMP, who speaks to the issues that i identify with, i believe this COUNTRY identifies with and is THE ONE AND ONLY candidate who speaks to the american worker, the FORGOTTEN MAN/WOMAN, and says what i have been literally screaming for years... oh, but he was once a liberal! (cue RONALD REAGAN) he doesn't fit the mold of the ideological 'conservative' (cough) do you think that the millions of TRUMP supporters give one whit about that? of course you do, because you live in an ideological bubble, enjoy the lack of oxygen! there have been many 'troll' type of attacks against my posts since i became a TRUMP supporter, especially on this thread...i have put many people on ignore, just to avoid dealing with the barbs and will continue to do so, yourself included, mainly because i find your sanctimonious and religious fervor in 'defining' true conservatism offputting and offensive....frankly it doesn't matter who 'ignores' whom other than what we do in order to preserve our own sanity against mindless attacks and for that i make no apology i'm sure you know of phyllis schlafly....the grand dame of modern conservatism? i'm originally from st. louis, and i know very well of her.....her conservative bonafides are beyond peer and cannot be denied, and yet she supports TRUMP wholeheartedly.... imagine that! and WHO are you to define conservatism, simple? you are what appears to me a religious right individual with a religious 'litmus' test to define 'conservatism' and from that spews your writings on this forum, with the unmistakable 'taint' of a religiosity that claims the the thin veil or cloak of 'authority'....but, you madame are NO phyllis schlafly, (you may want to contact her directly to understand WHY she supports TRUMP) i do not even know WHO you are but i know what you are not... understand that not every patriot who espouses conservatism is religious, nor are they defined by so called social conservatism....people like myself ,imho, are the truest form of CONSERVatives....we wish to conserve the properties and values that formed this country with NO RELIGIOUS litmus tests, but a pure devotion to the constitution and liberty for individual rights toward the pursuit of happiness which comes from FREEDOM to express our lives in the ways we see fit in keeping with the basic tenets of the bill of rights....this includes the freedom OF religion.... so, in closing, even though you 'just sat down' to attempt to share your experiences with honey_bee, you instead launched into a personal attack by suggesting that anyone who disagrees with your 'logic' is irrational and you should just walk away...but of course you didn't and you couldn't....the preface was a lie...you then proceeded to attack me, a poster who rarely if ever posted to you other than in a positive vein....why? because you are ideologically driven, and could not resist the temptation to attack a fellow american citizen with whom you disagree because of support for an 'impure' conservative candidate... oh and despite your many 'recs' (read co-religionists) you've revealed yourself by your 'oh btw, but' attack and diatribe here....it does not go unnoticed nor does it go without a response, hence i say good bye and good luck, to quote a famously intelligent and respected SI 'veteran' (like myself, at least the 'veteran' part)

It is obvious to me that our American way of life is under attack from every direction...even from within. I am not kneeling here, with my head bowed, meekly awaiting my own demise. We are in a world of continuous, contentious, and ever expanding hostile and violent, life-ending events, like the world our founders endured. For now a strong defense is the only way to attain an effective change. Our government wastes American lives around the world everyday...even here at home. My assessment indicates our enemies are pouring onto our soil everyday from every direction. In my view depending on our government to protect and defend our personal freedoms and lives here at home has lost its effectiveness as a personal strategy. I see only 2 choices remaining for now: Protect and defend our loved ones or Submit.
