Chris,

It sure is all in the chart. I was charting soybean futures before Mt. St. Helens erupted. One afternoon the market put in a major outside key reversal after trending down for some time. This was an outright buy signal. Did I take it? No, I didn't trust it. Mt. St. Helens blew the next morning and the soybean market skyrocketed like a tomahawk missile. It just about doubled in price within weeks. I remember that day like it was last week. I was so impressed that I never questioned my indicators since.

When I bought bonds this summer, there was talk about Greenspan raising rates and my friends thought I was naieve, but I took the buy signal and I'm glad I did.
