Today, after leaving my desktop machine to run a brief errand for about 30 minutes it totally froze up. Then again sometime later, another absence from the machine for about the same time it did the same thing

The monitors were both black, as usual. Moving the mouse restored the images but the machine would NOT respond to anything I'd click on.

Resorting to a complete shut down I got a box in the middle of the screen telling me "A Breakpoint has been reached (.....numbers here) occurred in the application at location (.... more numbers...)

I can't find anything on YouTube about this. It's never happened before. Perhaps it ties in with the other unusual behavior I've had in recent days on this machine? Is this a sign of bad things to come?
