Mars,
No, it figures that the GOP fake, front running posures wouildn't know a real conservative issue if bit them, one of the great protected rights our country founded upon.
Is this really a liberal vs. conservative issue? Seems more like a libertarian vs. security issue.

For the record, neither Hillary nor Bernie wants to take a stance on the whole Apple vs. FBI thing. Not surprising that Hillary is trying to have it both ways, but I would think that Bernie would take Apple's side here.

Trump, of course, already set himself up as the "Fortress America" candidate, so his opposition to Apple is no surprise here.

What IS surprising is how Trump is promoting Samsung over Apple. I can guarantee you that someone WILL hack into Trump's Samsung/Android smartphone and have all sorts of fun with it.

It'd be even funnier if it were Google themselves who does the hacking ...

I'm left wondering if this isn't an Apple marketing position, because if the Chinese government told Apple to hand over the contents of a phone owned by a Chinese citizen, or risk their market share in China in not cooperating with the Chinese government, the safe presumption is that Apple and Cook would hand over the contents (or rather, a software update to get at the contents) rather quickly.

It seems worth a court fight, but the final outcome is almost certain to be losing. The fight might at least establish some limits and procedures for such a search.

OOPS! Looks like you are WRONG again. Not a bit surprising to anybody here.

Bill Gates backs FBI in battle with Apple over San Bernardino killer's phone

Not too bright, are you? Opinionated and rude but not too bright.

If Syed Farook and wife had machine gunned a gay wedding ceremony, Tim Cook would be begging the FBI to let Apple crack open their phone.

Ditto if the phone had belonged to Cliven Bundy.
