Tommaso, You may want to check out the interview in WSJ, December 29, on-line edition, of Albert Edwards, the former Bank of England economist who created the stir for debunking the "Asian Economic Miracle" in 1995. Its a very thought provoking piece especially in relation to the venerable Dow. I can't link you as I obtained it through the private service and I guess posting it here is against copyright laws.
