According to the current BYTE magazine: "Intel and HP promise
backward compatibility with today's X86 and PA-RISC software,
they're still withholding those details".

Although the article goes on to mention that this won't be a trivial
task I don't think that currently there's any evidence at all to
support that the x86 compatibility will be lost! Were you speculating?
