Jeffrey: Thanks for taking the time to post this piece of information. Perhaps we should rank the Analysts right 'up' (or is it down) there with Lawyers as the most despised people in America. Analysts,at least in my book, have proven time and again their inability to predict anything except may be their annual bonuses, making it a rather dubious profession, but what can I say except that the pay is good.Nice gig if one can get it. I often times marvel at their collective 'abilities' to upgrade/downgrade a stock after the facts are amply revealed, mind you an exercise any 10 year old can easily perform without much of a fuss, and for this they get hefty paychecks, go figure!

Jeffrey, one analyst was dead on about his assesment concerning Oracle. I think it was the Merrill Lynch guy. His downgrade brought the stock from the mid to high 30s down to 30. That was before earnings were released. Of course with many analysts following a stock and making recommendations, one of them is going to be right some of the time.
