Jim,
Looks like 1 may be the bottom for the year. I'm pretty sure that trades executed tomorrow won't be settled until 1998 for tax loss purposes (unless that law has changed or I interpreted it incorrectly the first time :-)

I expect a bounce in 1998 up to resistance at 1 1/2 before we see lower lows due to nervousness about the effect of the conversion of the preferred.
