Hi dvdw, Sounds like an oxymoron, Head of Cartel proclaims market forces will determine the price of oil : "We are doing what every other industry representative in this room is doing," he told the audience. "Efficient markets will determine where on the cost curve the marginal barrel resides." Makes one wonder why Opec ever existed ? - must be a NEW FOUND RELIGION? Wonder how long their surplusses can exist ? War would accelerate the decline of surpluses - especially when the new sheriff in town says: "we'll help but at 1/2 of your reserves".
