Reports say Trump was given upward of 100 million dollars by his father as an inheritance, he was also given a large business to run. Since Trump has never released any objective data one way or the other on his inheritance, we only have reports to go on.

Yes, Casino's in Atlantic City did go broke. Here's Trump's bankruptcy record there.

1991 - Trump Taj Mahal (with $1 billion in debt).
1992 - Trump Plaza Hotel (with $550 million in debt).
2004 - Trump Hotels and Casino Resorts, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection (with $1.8 billion of debt).
2009 - Trump Entertainment Resorts, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection (with $1.74 billion of debt).

When you start with 100 million, are given a company worth millions and subtract billions in debt via bankruptcy, it's not a record I would claim labels him a business genius. His only genius was being born with a silver spoon in his mouth and a line of lawyers a mile long to keep the spoon full of bankers money.

The rest of your post is opinion and conjecture. Who knows, you may be right, but it's certainly not something that you can claim "I make things up about".

One of the worst things that bugs me about Trump is the way he uses the military to manipulate folks into voting for him. The Draft avoider did nothing for Veterans while living in NYC for decades and now he pretends to be Mr. fix the VA because he cares so much. Where was he when vets really needed help on the streets of NYC? Absent, the VA reps have never seen him.

A persons past does matter, it shows what a person really values. What Trump values is lavish parties, flying around on his plane and entertaining the super wealthy. I can imagine that would be fun, but let's not pretend it represents depth of character, because he understands how to mouth off to the press and spout the right lines during a campaign about military vets.

Trump made a big mistake going into Atlantic City. It nearly busted him.

.... In the early 1990s, as two of his casinos went bankrupt and his Trump Airlines failed, he went to his siblings for loans totaling $30 million.

As reported in The New York Times, this money allowed Trump to stay in business at a time when he was $900 million in the red. It was lent with the understanding that, if necessary, Donald would repay it from his share of his father's estate. (Fred was alive but affected by the early stages of Alzheimer's dementia at the time.)

Complex as it may seem here, the history of Donald Trump's finances has always been murky. Over the years most of his activities have been carried out in privately held companies, which issue no public accounting reports, and he has always contested estimates appearing in the financial press.
