Almost all of us believed that you couldn't run the kind of deficits we are running the last seven years and spend this much money without more inflation. But it's happened.

budget deficits are a big problem. i have a feeling things aren't going to hold together for a lot longer. it can't continue indefinitely. it's scary. the baltic dry index is unbelievably low. the majority of the world is now socialist. everything feels precarious.

Keynes said something about the stock market staying in a bubble longer than someone betting against it staying solvent.

I have learned in the last few decades that unsustainable practices such as deficit spending, excessive debt and many other such things can carry on a lot longer than we expect. So much so that people forget that it is not sustainable.

But just like we saw in 2008, when something goes on too far for too long, it hangs on longer than you expect and then BAM. It falls apart quite suddenly.

Hopefully, the many things that we know can not keep up will not crash too badly and cause us to fall into a massive depression, poverty, dictatorship or WWIII.
