In any case, decreased demand for abortions should be celebrated by both sides of the abortion debate, should it not?

It sort of depends. If it is because people have chosen it, of course. If it is because they have been left with no choice, then no. You do see the difference?

I believe hardly anyone gets pregnant due to ignorance or unavailability of birth control. Look at bentway. Did he get women pregnant and drag them to the abortion clinic because he / she couldn't afford birth control? Because they were too dumb to use it? Nah, he says himself he just liked "bareback" and he knew he could browbeat his partner into an abortion. Frankly, the presence of abortion likely makes people more reckless because they know how easy it is to get an abortion.
