Nay, Nay, my dear friend. Inproc COM function calls are as fast as normal DLL calls, and faster that vtable lookups. Granted property access is slower than accessing data members directly, but that is the price you pay for true encapsulation.

As far as COM goes, there is a multi-billion dollar SW dvelopment community that strongly disagrees with you. Even the premeire producers of DLL's (Periphere and Stingray) provide COM tools. Say what you want. COM is a better way to write Windows based applications and systems.
