ps. I forgot to add that a lot more unreported jobs have been created
in this area. Most of the young families here are two wage earners
with two or three jobs. They have to hire nannies and cleaning women.
A lot of babysitters get 10 an hour..that is take home..the nannies
get between 300 and 400 dollars a week..that also is take home.
The people who pay can't substract it from taxes because they don't
don't declare it first. Also as the population ages and people
don't live near their parents, more work will go to minorities to
assist the elderly.
Actually if all those off the book jobs were reported besides probably
a lot of bartering, according to the government's numbers we would have minus 10 percent unemployment...gee why aren't retail numbers
better? :>
Another thought is that there is so much vaporization of assets. ie
the collapse in real estate..cell phones etc..how much money is spent
on that with no increase in productivity. Also all those wonderful
corporate buybacks...little dividend yield..another vaporization when
those blue chips start to fall.
Gold has remained of value through the past thousands of years. Gee even the Bible has constant references to gold. Even though the governments dropped the price, the value will return..and not experience the vaporization that will come when these bubbles are
burst.
another ps..*I did a double take at some of the food prices yesterday..give me a break..so many items just keep on going up..

Bobby:

I still read Strategic Investment, but they have certainly not been good for profits if you had followed their investment ideas. I don't know about the creative bookkeeping. They also fall into the general category of conspiracy buffs, but I like to listen to all viewpoints, and it's amusing to find a publication which doesn't trust the government at all. So I find their iconoclasm refreshing and sometimes funny. Just take it with a grain of salt.
