some comments from me:

ok all.. hope you had your wonderful x-mas and presents..

let's not forget about the market and our precious capital invested into these stocks...

==========================
couple thoughts:

1) short-term for next couple days is up. naz is stronger than djia.. s&p500 is weak.

2) Do not assume the January Effect will come. That's a big no no.. Never assume something will come . that's applies to "news, good/bad earnings, etc"

if you assume about something, you are "hoping" it will come. Hoping is the FASTEST way you will lose money. Those are NOT the signals you should be trading on..

It's only now that matters..

why do not assume events/news/earnings?

a) what happens if it doesn't come?
b) what happens if investors do not see it "as that good". then you're dead
c) what happens if investors do like the current earnings, but the company warns of "slower" earnings ahead?
d) etc,etc

============
it's a game of "if's" and you won't know how people (emotions) will react..

you're risking your capital on how "the crowd" reacts??

you're risking your capital assuming january effect will come??

don't you think when january effect comes, you will see it in your charts? your charts will not lie. you're not going to MISS anything if you look at the charts

However, if you listen to "CNBC" or assume "XYZ event", you will MISS YOUR SIGNAL for sure..

=============

Sorry if im being too direct in this post. just want to get this msg across

sit down and ask yourself. are your reasons for buying/holding XYZ objective?

or are you using facts "that you assume" will come true??

sorry for the harsh tone <gg>

i just got really mad when my dad said "don't worry, january effect will come"
