All,
Article today in the Houma Daily Courier: Front Page: "Oil 1998:More Exploration, hiring foreseen": 10th Annual Arthur Andersen U.S. Oil and Gas Industry Outlook Survey: surveyed 94 companies:"Most companies are increasing their exploration and development spending and adding to their work force because their management believes current opportunities are better than at any time during the past 15 years. However, many companies are now beginning to adjust their stategies to address the new challenges related to a lack of attractive drilling prospects and shortages of drilling rigs and skilled personnel. The new strategies include alliances, partnerships, and mergers aimed at gaining access to more drilling prospects, more people and more rigs."

Snewts and Teddy, Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that Iraq's rentry at their original 2 bil $ level was anticipated to happen in Jan. IMO that the market has already factored in their reentry at the old levels. If this is the case than spot prices shouldn't be much affected tomorrow. At least I hope that's the case. Dave

Teddy-
If the Iraq deal is for real then won't CXIPY, THNPY, and SLB benefit by the fact that they're French companies? Maybe I'll trade my TBI for some CXIPY.
