TO ALL: Noticed plenty of IBm, NEC/Packard Bell, Toshiba, HP, etc.. computers on clearance sales the week after Christmas - but not one ad with a Compaq machine on clearence. Looks like Compaq handled its inventory better than anyone else and most stock items were sold out.
I think we have a late Christmas present coming in Jan.

I agree totally. nervous managers selling stks to lock in profits and fat million dollar bonuses.
In the face of Asia and etc. who can blame them.
So, after Jan 1 it's a new world ...slate is clean and they can pick up bargains.
Plus , cpq is a fund stk 70% in funds.
dell has been smarter with their getting the stk in everybodies hands.
dell is a 49% fund stk.
cpq's new split policy and keeping stk price in 30's and 40's may help them.
