blkhead, I buy the grey sheets of international stocks (mostly Canadian) all the time, they are effectively as liquid as the underlying Canadian stock, the broker just mirrors your orders on the Canadian market......and I usually see my buys and sells of the grey sheet stock get transposed on the Canadian market, but in a few cases it seams they were actually filled with stock from the same US symbol.

When placing your order, look up the current exchange rate and set your order accordingly. The broker may take a small arbitrage on the exchange rate (rounding up to the nearest half penny or so), but it still beats the headaches of needing to deal with the international tax issues IMO. This probably isn't the ideal situation for "traders", but I find it works out fine when "investing".
