I think only the very rich like "trickle down" because they're the ones that get to Trickle...

The Great Society was mostly about handing out money to people. That's never a very good long term solution.

The reason we're not very good manufacturers any more is that we never give people the skills to excel in those fields. In Germany they have schools specifically set up to train machinists and lathe operators and every other skill needed to turn out precision products.

In the U.S. we send every kid to a college that teaches the same useless stuff. That's why we have so many college grads living in their parent's basements.

A skilled auto mechanic can find a 100 jobs. A skilled carpenter can find a 100 jobs.

Why don't we have schools that teach THAT stuff?
