Dave: thanks for the second opinion-I'm certainly planning to get O'Neill. The first (&only) book I have read is Pistolese, recommended by Doug. Doing the exercises was really helpful, tho' they were a bit easy :-) I seem to do okay with cutting losses so far, or I'd be absolutely out of the game by now, but not at all good at selling soon enough when the darn things go up-especially in this market. So, I'm using trend lines more. If the support is penetrated, red alert. Actually I got out of CADE for that reason (on the down-side by the time I had formulated the move) which may NOT be a good idea. It did manage a higher low after I sold. Hope the shorting is going well. DA
