I think LLE may be in a tough situation. The Philip offer was all cash while LLE's offer was half LLE stock. LLE was 5 1/2 in October and has trended down to 4 1/2 now. LLE should counter with 100% cash, but how? I am assuming they have a secret business plan that involves GRNO of course. But it is top secret and not even GRNO knows about it. Should LLE go to the parent Laidlaw company, with its focus in transportation, and ask for its help in securing a cash infusion? If LLE doesn't go to the SK shareholders with cash, how can they convince them their stock offer is better without revealing their plan? Charles

If they just go with a much higher offer but in stock, the damage to the bond rating might tank the stock. Off topic: I had to remove the above sentence from my previous post because it wouldn't post otherwise. It would time out and say, "Document contains no data." When I removed the last sentence, it worked. Does anybody have any idea why? I use Netscape Navigator 3.04. Charles
