Bobby, Your making little bells ring in the back of my head.
I'm also remebering an old chinese curse: "May you live in interesting times". Well, it certainly is getting interesting and I do believe there is more to come.
Refering back to your post xx36, on reduction in crime I would suggest a book called "Boom, Bust & Echo" by David K. Foot. This book geneally deals with demographic shift and sight crime falling due to
the reduced population of those in age bracket that commit crimes.
The Boomers have set the stage for almost all the themes over the years and crime was one of them. The problem now is we have politicans, police depts etc whipping up a stew a crime prevention that may not be needed. Here in Toronto they want police helicopters while the crime rate is dropping. How many times have you seen depts,
Gov. or otherwise look for increases in their budget to avoid a decrease.
Flip side of the coin: If the markets move into a crash mode the ripple effect will lead to unemployement( is Kodak the thin edge of the wedge?) and probable increase in crime.

Yes, these are interesting times.

Cheers,

Hi Bobby,

I don't think it would be neat. Maybe your to young to remember the
mid to late 70s. I do. Not very neat. Very scary in fact. Almost lost
my house when that happend.:-((((( If gold blows out to the upside to
fast you won't be able to buy a coke without mortgaging your house.
Nothing will be worth anything because it was bought at higher prices.
You won't be able to pay your mortgage, car payments, food bills. The
bottom will drop out of the economy and inflation will follow. Go back
and see what happened in late 78-early 79. Not a pretty site.;-(((((
