Sonki:

I do not know whether Yahoo has a great future or not, probably. But having a great future and a PE of 500 are two different things. In a market that seems to be deteriorating, I would be looking at high PEs for companies that will go down.

Concerning the Asian crisis, it is not a question of whethre or not it is overblown. How would you measure that in any event? It is here and it is unfolding in front of our eyes. My quess is that we are probably midway in its development. There will be more bad news down the road, and it will be difficult for the market to move forward until the monetary issues are resolved. I would think that within the next 3 months or so, we will know the extent of the problem and how quickly it can be corrected. That is not much of an answer to your question. For me personally, I am basically in cash at this time, and looking at stocks to short, hence my interest in Yahoo.
