I have read some of Upton's Sinclair's stuff. Which has been my point. We have tried most of this stuff in the past. From trickle-down to treating money as speech. Not so much the idea of corporate-Americans though. That is new. Regardless, It all ended badly. By extrapolation, the idea of corporations as human beings is likely to do the same. And there is no reason to believe that things will be different this time. Especially as seeing as how we are walking exactly the same sort of path.

So why are we doing this again? Oh yeah. The rich get richer and everyone else gets poorer. You'd think they would observe that our economy is mainly driven by consumer spending. And realize that funneling money from the hands of consumers to the hands of those who use a much smaller percentage of their income on consumer spending is going to cause things to spiral down. But, I suppose it is difficult to get sociopaths to accept there are consequences...

I will point out that the rise of populism has happened in the past when we implement these policies. Which is what is driving the appeal of both Sanders and Trump. Will the sociopaths realize exactly what kind of fire they are playing with?

Nah. That is what being a sociopath is all about. They just don't do responsibility. Even when it means their toys will get taken away...
