Sure, and equally I am waiting for Japan to invade and make claims to their Northern territories (The South Kuril Islands) illegally occupied by the Soviets right after the Japanese WWII capitulation in 1945.

Has been Japanese land forever.

And before then, it was part of the Ottoman Empire until Russia took advantage of its decline. So shouldn't Turkey have dibs on it? When do we stop going back in time to find prior claims to territory?

Russia also sees themselves as the rightful heirs to the Eastern Roman Empire after the leadership of Constantinople abdicated to Moscow. Do we turn all of that territory to them also?
