John Dowd, Re:"reasoning .. random && both side of your mouth, eh". You got it both right. MSFT is an evil because it openly admit "nothing will be operable with IE removed". Most corporations understand the consequence and probably working with alternatives to avoid the TRAP. MSFT is a friend if you want to make money since it is(so far) in the perfect environment. I always say, it's better than collecting tax. To be fair, MSFT should have an 'integrated package' not an ' integrated OS'. I have no interest in religious war on what is "OS". We know what MONEY and MONOPOLY can do. I'm almost 200% certain that if there is no NSCP, there is no IE/winXX integration. One message is clear now: "nothing is operable in MSFT's winXX environment if IE/or whatever future hooks MSFT implanted is removed". This is so arrogance the way MSFT declared it. This is so frigthening when one has to take it since there is no choice. I believe the competition in 'software environment' is much worst than those INTEL is facing (AMD,CYRIX really didn't have it together, yet they did present the VIABLE ALTERNATIVE and causing havoc for INTEL). I believe, IBM,SUNW,ORCL. are more formidable(sp?) competition to MSFT than those that INTEL is facing. Good luck and happy new year to you.
