At the $5,000 and $10,000 price points, these boxes seem to provide good value and are an alternative to Windows NT workstations. Let's hope that all the other component software espically the Java Virtural machine are of "stellar" quality and performance.

Can anybody provide more details regarding the rumored "Darwin" line? So far I like what I see....

P.S. Also Solectron (the large outsource assembly firm) picked up another manufacturing facility in a deal with NCR. NCR continues to have Soletron manufacture their PC's but now Solectron owns and operates the facilities. (http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/971219/oh_ncr_corp_solectro_1.html)
