A $20 stock with say 20 million shares would have a market cap of $400 million. Now, what is a company worth?

Market cap? ==>$400 million
Book value? ==>$200 million if you assume it's trading at 2X book
Book value + some Goodwill factor?

Or some other combination?

I don't know.

Did Oracle lose a third of its true worth because the stock fell 1/3?
