<<what kinds of nuttiness the numeralogy of the year 2000 was going to inspire>>> Can't recall where I read it, but it seems through out history every 500 years the s**t hits the fan or visa versa. My main problem is that I won't be here 100 years from now to see of what magnitude this 500 yr closing brought to the world. Damn!!! (ggg)

Tomasso,

I had a TA look at some of the Korean and Templeton CEF's. It looks like they will continue to rally in the short term. Some of them had a mini-retest of their lows on reduced volume, which is positive. There are also positive divergences between the CCI(14) and the price action.

My problem is that I think the Asian Crisis has a ways to run yet, so any rally may be only temporary.

Based on the Mexico crisis, I would expect the Asian stocks (and presumably the CEF's) to retest the lows and form a sideways channel that will last a minumum of 3 months and probably considerably longer.

However, I have little experience with the CEF's and how the amount of the premium/discount behaves at lows.

:-))
