<<The pre-trib interpretation of 2 Thess. 2:6-7 as the rapture is not supported by any other scripture. It doesn't even say "he who now restrains" is the Church. And nowhere is the Church referred to as "he" in God's Word. Always as the bride but not he. Paul says they know what is restraining the lawless one. I think it is most likely one of God's high ranking angels that is restraining the lawless one.>> In Rev. 13:1-10 would be the revealing of the lawless one when "he that now restrains is taken out of the way". Rev. 13:7 "And it was given to him to make war with the saints and overcome them," Now if the rapture has occurred already their would be no saints to make war with. But there are because we will not be gone yet. After verse 7 the saints are alluded to in verse 8 and mentioned again in verse 10 and again in Rev.14:12. Then in Rev. 14:14-16 the Lord reaps the earth of the Church. Rev. 14:14 "And I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and sitting on the cloud was one like the Son of Man, having a golden crown on His head, and a sharp sickle in His right hand." Matt. 24: 29-31"But immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened and the moon will not give it's light, and the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken, 30 and then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky , and all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the SON OF MAN COMING ON THE CLOUDS OF THE SKY with power and great glory. 31 And he will send forth His angels WITH A GREAT TRUMPET AND THEY WILL GATHER TOGETHER His elect from THE FOUR WINDS, FROM ONE END OF THE SKY TO THE OTHER. The description by Jesus Himself of His return in Matthew and the descrition of the Lord in Rev.14:14 are identical. He is describing Himself gathering the Church and Rev. 14: 14-16 describes the same event. Jesus says "immediately after the tribulation of those days". He calls the events leading up to the "rapture" tribulation and they certainly are. Bob
