I hope the kids understand the importance of voting for the dem party. The first-order of business is that we must overturn citizens United and only Democratic appointments to the SC will do that. The Republicans are in the bag for the plutocrats. I heard last night on Bill Maher, by the way he had a great program last night, was that the Koch brothers have organized 400 other very rich right-wingers and they have raised almost $1 billion. Their intent is to go across the country and use that money to win/buy as many Republican races they can all the way down to the state level. And people that take that money will be beholden to them. As you know, I ran for state legislature one time and have worked on many political campaigns and I know exactly how that works. If you take their money you owe them. Yes I have a very hard time with Hillary, she is in the bag with the plutocrats as well. If she is elected she will appoint a Robert Rubin type for treasury, if Bernie is elected he will noinate someone like Joseph Stiglitz. And I can see her lying constantly. Right after the New Hampshire defeat she really stepped up the attack on Bernie and they were boldfaced lies in that she completely misrepresented what he was doing and saying. I posted on another thread that the worst thing about this was that she was going to alienate those kids and there's a good chance they wouldn't show up for the general. They are kids and prone to youthful indiscretion and don't always have good sense. In the 60s we had a saying: "clean for Gene" i.e. Eugene McCarthy , as we were a bunch of hippies we had to drop our costumes so we didn't freak out the people that we wanted to get to support him. Bernie needs to bring his supporters under control. It was reported last night on Bill Maher that they had been harassing not only Hillary, but Elizabeth Warren. Good Lord that is so far out of line. They were doing it because she refused to support him, completely overlooking the fact that every woman in the Senate is supporting Hillary except her and she's been standing against them alone. As I said ,they kids. I just saw that she stepped up the attack against Bernie again. And so in a sense she is sacrificing the Democratic Party for her own gain. That is unconscionable as she is not putting the good of the country ahead of her own ambitions. But that is Hillary
