OK... a while back i mentioned that i was clearing out my account with one of the internet amateur cheapo order-flow brokers who may or may not advertise on cnbc, and that i was going with a new online broker. This brokerage is MBTrading. Manhattan Beach Trading is a new company made up from components that are tried and true. What I am getting is: an account with Southwest Securities, Real Tick III, a quote feed from SP Comstock, news package, and if I choose to go with ISDN I can use UUnet's virtual network, to avoid internet slowdowns. All these components have been in use for some time by SOES houses and remote traders. The commisions are on a sliding scale, but if as a day trader you buy and sell atleast once each trading day, you could end up with fifty tickets a month with out much trouble. At 50 tickets a month a trade costs $20.95 up to 2000 shares - every share over 2000 costs you a penny. If you do 50 tickets a month the realtick III with charting and level 2 quotes, time and sales etc. etc. and all the exchange fees included, costs you nothing; NO CHARGE, if you trade less, you gotta start paying. Also the news package costs $75 per month and the frame relay costs too. I'm not a rep or anything, so check the facts yourself You can get the rest of the details yourself, but these guys are up and running and I think they are going to KICK ASS!!! One final thing... I feel these guys have the tech support angle absolutely covered...I honestly believe no one will come close to the level of service these guys are giving. Ofcourse this is good news for all the traders that are with other brokerages, the competition will be a very, very good thing for us all. I am not trying to be a hypster, but I DID want to get the word out. MBTrading 1-888-790-4800 ask for Steve or Ross If you don't mind doing it; tell them funk told ya about MBTrading at SI, I would appreciate it. : ) funk
