Clinton, you gotta watch Scott, he sugar coats everything and you can't tell where he is. What I believe he means is he doesn't want to see you lose money. Gather enough data so that you can make your own opinion. When you can do that, pull the trigger. Decide how much you can lose and don't lose more than that. Figure out what you did right and do it again. Figure out what you did wrong and don't do it. Ya gotta drive. You can't sit in the back seat.

Scott: Lame indicator? I'm not sure. It is one indicator only, for sure. Hindsight is always 20/20, as you probably know. Let's wait and see. Your point about making plans and getting hit is excellent. My information about the upticks is from Jon Tara - and you can read some of his recent posts about trying to short AOl with Datek. I do not care whether I am in a stock if it is going lower as long as I am short. I want to be with the market, not against it. Yes, I am looking for 5-10 points, who wouldn't. The case for MSFT short term is that money seems to be flowing into it, it has gone down 15-16 points and could retrace 50%, the techs may have bottomed for the moment, and there may be a rally into the first week of January. And MSFT is well thought of an many people and institutions may want to get into it long at current levels. BWDIK. Sorry I had to leave last night - but I got summoned to bed in no uncertain terms.
