TopCat,
I think you're a little confused today....
Oddly enough, I feel for the guy who sucker-punched the protester. That protester was obviously there to show off and prove what a bad-ass he was by being in the lion's den. He was pretty much asking to get socked in the jaw, and it must have been rather frustrating for a Trump supporter to see punks like that being coddled by the Powers That Be.

Doesn't make it right, of course, nor does it help conservatives at all. But it does point to an underlying frustration that forms the core of Trump's rise to popularity.

You know how if BLM protests get violent, the media tries to look at the "nuanced" reasons behind their anger? Maybe someone ought to look at the "nuanced" reasons behind the anger that is leading to Trump. There are a few in the media who are doing just that, but there are many, many more who have declared open war against Trump and will basically excuse any punk protester that shows up to Trump rallies.

P.S. - This post will likely get bookmarked as proof that I somehow condone what the Trump supporter did. Nothing can be further than the truth, but hey, twisting other people's words is a common occurrence on the Internet.
