That Snopes article is bullshit. It is an obvious effort to suggest that Sanger did NOT say the essence of that quote. She said the following, accord to the article and other sources:

[Slavs, Latin, and Hebrew immigrants are] human weeds ... a deadweight of human waste ... [Blacks, soldiers, and Jews are a] menace to the race. Eugenic sterilization is an urgent need ... We must prevent Multiplication of this bad stock.

The quote you're citing it in response to is:

"Colored people are like weeds and need to be exterminated."

So, what she really said is that like they are like weeds and using eugenics we must prevent multiplication of this "Bad Stock".

Now, everyone can agree there is a key difference between the statements: The claim was they should be exterminated, but she actually said they should be prevented from multiplying.

Obviously, the idea of extermination is outrageous.

Sanger was a racist, a slug of an individual, and I don't see how we can possibly elect a president who respects her enormously considering the era in which she lived.

Is the actual comment outrageous? That they should be sterilized? Is this someone Hillary Clinton ought to be favoring?
