More than 99% of all Felons in prison claim to be innocent.

Aubrey McClendon would have just been one more "completely innocent Felon", likely housed in the same prison where Bernie Madoff is housed.

McClendon and Madoff could have spent their time commiserating about how they'd both been singled-out.

You may find this hard to believe but in all my life I've never heard of any oil company running an oil lease bid-rigging racket. What sort of asshole would it take to arrange something like that?

When we needed leases at Chevron I hired an independent lease company called "Swift Oil" who hired young party boys like the young-version of George W. Bush when he was a hard-drinking drug sniffing oil leasing agent. Those gomers had zero incentive to rig bids, nor did I.

Aubrey McClendon was a such a crook and so desperate he resort to crimes most people would not even bother to commit.
