Hi Doug

Thanks for the e-mail. I do not doubt the 'illegal & immoral' activities that are being committed by governments the world over. No one country is an exception! So much for politics :-|

There isn't much optimism in the markets these days in Asia. The IMF formula for Asia is the wrong medicine! Just like the US pulled the world down into a deep abyss in the 1930s, Japan will be doing it now! Even Soros, the famous currency trader, is warning the world regarding an impending 'deflationary' period. Most guys are just waiting for a time/price to bail out. Even for CREAF! Except for fund managers (they have to trade to make a living), there are now very few retail investors. And just look at the volume! CREAF's trade was just 89600 shares (miserable, even for a half day trade) The main plus point for CREAF is the strong belief that there will be a rally nearing towards the next earnings report, which most believe that it will be good. Just talked to a guy who works in CREAF. He is just mildly optimistic with regards to next year's earnings. Just a few months ago, he was extremely optimistic about 1998 being an excellent year for CREAF. I'm not throwing any additional cash into the market. Just waiting for a right price to get off!

Happy New Year & Good Luck!

Best wishes
Alan
