I was reading today that the chickens to be killed were all in HK.
It was also reported that the chicken ranchers would be paid, I believe I recall this correctly, HK$20.00 per chicken by the government.

I have no way of knowing, but I would be surprised if C.P. Pokphand
brought there own chickens to Alabama. Given shipping & quarantine costs, I think it would be a losing proposition.
