I think that it would be a unique query - aapl should charge 10k-50k at a minimum per such request + lawyer's fees per request - I hope they challenge each request without being sanctimonious. It could work out well monetarily!

Its a tech futurists cornucopia of possible outcomes. Could it lead to boutique phones with semi-generic Linux OSs? Small companies buying generic phones and loading customized Linux. Companies without the deep OS talent to break encryption?

Throw away smartphones like the throw away dumb phones criminals used to use?
