There are about 15 parallels with 2007 and 2000 whether it's the unemployment rate, housing sales, autosales Another one might be the "it's just about time" parallel of 2000 2008 2016. Then there is the certainty that we are again in a presidential transition period. With the "sell in May and go away" deadline coming up, political chaos/rancor very likely this summer and terrorism still a major threat, I intend to sit on the sidelines this summer and early fall. More financial engineering is just telling us that companies are having a hard time generating real growth.
