I am a liberal because my reading of history shows that the liberals worried about the poor the most. I worry about the poor the most and you can put forth all your high falutin theories, but in the end what the poor need is food and shelter. And liberals and their ideology have failed the most over history, Rome being one main example. Tax and spend never works on the longer term, per actual history not Pollyanna and failed liberal feel good/save-the-children theories. Worry away as much as you want - its ineffective, although it may ease your conscience. But how much have you actually done like supporting food banks with actual money, aka put your money where your mouth is? Or, like so many liberals, left it up to your worshiped big government? Obummer has done so very well with improving the economy (/sarc) that there's still 14.08% of the population using food stamps, down from a peak of 15.15% in Sept 2012.
