bentway, I may be more likely to get crushed by my furniture than attacked and killed by a Muslim. However, my furniture isn't trying to change Western Culture and remake it in the image of Sharia Law. Let me count the ways the Muslims are bringing enlightenment to Western Civilization: genital mutilation of women, rape of women, beheadings, suicide bombings, sending their children to become suicide bombers, Sharia law, enslavement, treating women like property no better than cattle, espousing indoctrination of children similar to the Nazi efforts with their child brigades of brown shirts, genocide, and trying to hasten the coming of the apocalypse.

Wow. Keep up your apologetics of the Islamofascists. You are very entertaining to say the least. However, the time of the politically correct imbecile is over now. We're all sick of it. Je suis sick of it.

I am not a statistician nor have I ever claimed to be.

However, I do know enough about probability to recognize when someone attempts to pass off subjective probability as though it were A priori or A posteriori, a classic sign of statistical nonsense.

The probability of someone dying of a terrorist attack is minuscule, always. But that does not mean we tolerate it or should not react with extreme violence toward anyone guilty of it.

Obviously, no reasonable estimate of the probability of a terrorist attack in an upcoming period could be made. But we can say with certainty it has NOTHING to do with the number of people who have been killed by terrorist attacks in the past.
