Reality matters little when it comes to his faith.

Like his claims about the failures of Keynesian economics. He blithely ignores the failures of Chicago School and Austrian economics, which he champions. Just look at Kansas. Louisiana. Wisconsin. Soon to be Oklahoma and Mississippi. They have applied i-node's favored economic theories. Brownback claimed it would be a shot of adrenaline to the heart of Kansas' economy. But it was more like a shot of KCl. Instant cardiac arrest. Now they are trying to balance their budget on the backs of schoolkids. Similar to what has happened to Louisiana and Wisconsin. Instead of the promised economic growth, all are under-performing their neighbors with similar economies. No doubt the same will happen in Oklahoma and Mississippi.

And then there is California. After years of lackluster performance and budgetary shortfalls due to brain-dead economic failures, they reversed course and raised taxes and spending. Instead of the crash and budget collapse that i-node's favored economic theories predicted, they are in the middle of a boom and a budgetary surplus. What's up with that?

But will those who promote brain-dead economics even recognize what has happened, must less learn from these examples? Nope. They will continue to push their snake oil economics.
